A Not-to-Miss Fighting Game

If you have ever fantasized about Super Mario being able to taken on Pokemon, your wildest dreams have just come true.  Super Smash Bros. Brawl, referred to alternately as SSBB or Brawl, is a game that combines a number of familiar characters in a fighting game made for the Nintendo Wii game system.  It is manufactured by Sora.

There are currently three versions of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with the latest installment being released in March of 2008 in the United States.  This Brawl has set itself apart because it not only expands the cast of Nintendo characters included in the game play, but also includes characters from other parties as well.  The game play has varied from the standard fighting game options, the object of the game being to knock your opponent off of the screen. Rather than providing you with a bar that displays how much health your character has, as is typically the case, the characters are given a health percentage. As you sustain more blows, your health percentage increases to show how damaged you are overall.  The fighting is also unique because it allows you to perform certain moves that are unique to each individual character.

The Super Smash Bros. Brawl has met with mostly positive reviews. It has sold over 4.85 million copies in the world.  Critics have pointed to the unusually long loading times, but game play has met with relatively few complaints. Another standout feature of the game is the soundtrack, which may just have you tapping your toes as you defeat Sonic the Hedgehog.
