Mario Goes High Tech

When it comes to big names in video games, he is right up there with Pacman.  Now Mario has made the leap from classic retro games to the new and up to date Wii, taking his never-ending quest for Princess Peach to an entirely new level.  This new version of Super Mario will have new and experienced gamers alike hooked on one of the most familiar characters in video games.

The newest adventure of the overall-wearing hero is set in space and was created specifically for the Nintendo Wii.  The villain is Mario's old nemesis, Bowser, whom the hero has to follow from level to level which now take the shape of galaxies in this newest version of the game.  Each new level provides Mario with new planets and worlds that he has to explore as he continues his search for the princess.  Of course, different worlds can mean different game play, including differing levels of gravity.

While you might think that such a classic character like Mario has already passed by his glory days, the Super Mario Galaxy game has actually been one of the well-received games in the Mario series, as well as in video games in general.  It has won "Game of the Year" awards from a number of different sources and has continued to sell games into record numbers.  6.10 million players couldn't be wrong. Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii is definitely fun for the whole family and should be in your gaming collection.
