Sins Of A Solar Empire was developed by Ironclad Games. Wining several Editor’s Choice awards, Sins Of A Solar Empire has sold over half a million copies. It was designed to work on a variety of machines and can run on a four-year old video card. It was developed for Windows XP and Vista. This innovative real-time strategy game is huge. It has massive play maps and gorgeously rendered space combat. Usually only seen in turn-based releases, Sins Of A Solar Empire has an extreme amount of depth.
Sins Of A Solar Empire has three different factions to choose from. The game consists of exploring and conquering neighboring planets and distant solar systems. It is done in a massively scaled, fully 3D Galaxy. Looking at your empire of dozens of planets to observing individual ships in your fleets can be done with the scroll of the mouse’s wheel. Eradicating all of the opposing faction's colonies is the ultimate goal of the game. This is done in two ways. These are: annihilation of the population from orbit or overwhelming cultural influences. Putting a price on the head of any other is a unique innovation of Sins Of A Solar Empire. This provides a financial incentive as any ship, structure, or colony destroyed earn the attacker a portion of the bounty.
There will now be expansions packs. These packs will be in a more modular way than traditional. Players will be able to pick the features they want. They won’t be paying for a larger pack that has features they don’t want.
