Grand Theft Auto IV, Welcome to Liberty City

Grand Theft Auto IV is the newest installment of Rockstar Games GTA series. You begin the game as Nico Ballic, an eastern European immigrant fresh off the boat. You need to find work and start making some cash, so you call up your cousin, Roman, who has been in the city for a little bit. Roman runs a taxi cab service, so he puts you to work running some errands and driving the cab. The problem is that Roman likes to gamble and ends up getting himself and you into some trouble with some bad people.

Roman gets you into some trouble, but this is how you will meet most of the dangerous people throughout the city. Eventually, Roman’s business will get bombed, and both of you will move into a new section of town. Liberty City is divided into five boroughs (sound familiar?), with each being unlocked after certain missions. Each will contain a safe house and numerous new people to meet and missions to complete. At your safe houses there are parking spaces out front, in which you can store up to two cars in at a time. These are to save some of the sweet rides that you will earn from your missions.

If you are a fan of the GTA series, Grand Theft Auto IV will not disappoint you. If you have not played any of the previous games, you will not need to know any background story, because this game has a brand new story line and characters. Characters are rather superficial and passing, but they lead to a great mission setup. Overall, Grand Theft Auto IV may be the best game in the series.
