Mario fans need not wait any longer. Your favorite hero is back in a game that is out of this world. Mario’s latest journey is in Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, an intergalactic adventure through the universe facing new battles and conquering new enemies. But the return of Mario can only mean it’s also the return of the evil Bowser, back again and this time trying to take over the entire universe.
While trying to rescue Princess Peach and her castle from Bowser’s grasps, Mario voyages into space to find himself on a small planet unknown to him. Here he meets Rosalina and the Lumas who travel through the universe in a mobile Observatory. However, since Bowser attacked and stole all the Power Stars which power it, they’ve been unable to continue their quest. It’s up to Mario to save them.
In Super Mario Galaxy, Mario must travel through different galaxies and collect the Power Stars stolen from Rosalina. The object of the game is to win the challenges and defeat the enemies in order to gain more and more Power Stars while traveling through different planets on various galaxies.
This game features many of the characteristics of previous Mario games and introduces a few new ones like revamped power ups that provide Mario with transformations never seen before. Now nine power ups will allow Mario to adopt a special costume like a Bee, Boo or Spring suit each with special features like the ability to hover or to walk through objects.
You probably remember the fire flower but you definitely have never seen the latest ice flower also featured in Super Mario Galaxy. These are only a few of the many surprises you’ll find in Super Mario Galaxy.
