The World Ends With You Video Game

The World Ends With You game was made for Nintendo DS. It made its debut in July of 2007 in Japan, but it had a different title, which was It's A Wonderful World. In the first week of sales, it became the 2nd best-selling DS game. With its release in the USA in April of 2008, the name was changed to The World Ends With You. It became the top selling DS game in the United States, and has received positive reviews.

The game is about a teenager named Neku Sakuraba, who wakes up unexpectedly in the shopping district of Tokyo. He and would rather listen to music than have fun with friends. He finds a text message on his phone telling him that he only has 60 minutes to save the city's population. If you think you have seen this character before, you are right. The Kingdom Hearts series has a similar looking character, only the fashionable clothes have a better fit to The World Ends With You character than it did in Kingdom Hearts.

A big difference between the two games is that one is in an imaginary kingdom while the other is set in real-world Tokyo. There is also action and role-playing in this game. Failure to complete missions in the game will scatter mind and spirit which will erase the players existence. There is life on the Realground, but the dead are brought to the Underground. The dead can vie for one of the prizes, which results in being brought back to life. The World Ends With You is a typically eccentric Japanese roleplaying video game that utilizes the features of the Nintendo DS to separate it from its competition.
