What kid does not like playing video games? It can take the child visually and physically into another world, unlike just in the thoughts when reading a book. The video game Okami can not only give children an exciting game of destroying the evil guy; is opens their minds to the art of Chinese and Japanese mythologies. This video game is known for its game play with a belief of mystical basis. In other words, good triumphs over evil.

The player takes the role of the mythical sun goddess, Amaterasu, in the form of a white wolf. There are monsters who have stolen the world’s life and the wolf needs to bring the color back; thus getting rid of evil. Even though there are people who do not like the wolf, there are many who do. Actually, those who like her for bring back the color in the world she becomes more powerful; good and kind rules the beautiful world.

Today, some 61 years after the first video game was invented, we now have the method that not only allows the player to control the video story, but to actually interact physically with the newest program, Wii.

Wii allows Amaterasu to use an ancient art of painting with a celestial brush to get rid of evil. The players control the brush with their physical actions; which makes them feel they are actually painting evil away.

Just like the tough times of today, the majority of our video games are focused on destruction instead of positive relations. It is time for a video game like this one, which can help to renew our positive outlooks on life.
