Grand Theft Auto IV

One of the most popular video game titles is back. Grand Theft Auto IV is the 9th and latest in the game series. It is also the first to feature an online multiplayer mode with a combination of 15 games.

The game revolves around the central character of the game, Niko Bellic. A war veteran from Eastern Europe, Niko comes to Liberty City at the urging of his cousin Roman. Heavily based on New York City, Liberty City is full of various gangs and ethnic groups. Upon arriving in America Niko finds that Roman has lied to him about his lavish lifestyle in order to lure him there to help relieve his debt and gangster issues. Soon Niko becomes involved with gangs, crime and corruption.

To complete the games, players must complete missions. Mission objectives are obtained through cut scenes, short videos between game play, where they are given by crime bosses and street thugs. The theft of cars, boats and helicopters is a must in order to complete these missions. Niko can also perform freelance jobs to obtain money. Although freelance jobs don't affect the outcome of the game, assigned mission objectives must be completed in order to complete the game.

Since the role of the criminal is being played, the police will be after you. The bright side is you may obtain police bribes to be left alone. Other “pick-ups” include health boosting hearts and extra body armor. This game contains hospitals, banks, strip clubs and eateries where the player can make acquaintances that may have helpful information or items. There are several radio stations ranging from Dance to Hip-Hop to talk shows and stations can be changed when in vehicles.

With the excessive violence, foul language and sexual innuendos this games is intended for mature players only. For long time fans and those new to the series this game will not disappoint and will provide several hours of game play.
