It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Mario

Nintendo beckons Wii owners to come along on a gravity defying adventure in the latest installment of the Mario legacy.

Super Mario Galaxy is unlike any other Super Mario game out there. The thing that makes it different is the fact that it has a whole new 3-D atmosphere. You don't have to be totally heartbroken though. Nintendo still left some 2-D graphics in for you as well. Using the Wii remote and the nunchuk you travel with Mario from planet to planet. Along the way you collect lumas, star bits, and coins to advance to other planets and to gain extra lives. Among the usual mushroom to make you big and the flower to shoot fire there are several new costumes for Mario to try on for size. You can be ghost mario, bee mario, spring mario, and frost mario.

When you first start to play you might feel a little redundancy. Let's face it what is a Super Mario game without saving the princess? The cool thing about this game is that not only do you get to save your "damsel" you also get to save all the lumas that Bowser has kidnapped to power his galaxy. You even get to save Luigi a couple of times. All in all Mario gets to do what he does best, which is save the day and the girl. Now if only Mario and the Princess could ever get their happy ending.
