Having a North American release of January 22, 2008, Criterion Game's Burnout Paradise is the latest addition to the Burnout video game series. The newest update, available for download on September 18, 2008 will be giving Burnout lovers a bike pack loaded with cool new features for the first time ever!
There are lots of cool features in Burnout Paradise, new and old. The developers in charge of this game put in a lot of time and effort to make video game lovers more than happy. With races taking place in Paradise City, Burnout Paradise has a cool new feature that has day, as well as night races. They weren't initially included in the game, but due to the suggestions of talented and creative developers, both of these types of cycles were brought into the game. Another cool new feature is the Showtime Mode.
Formerly known as "Crash Mode," Showtime Mode can be started whenever you feel the time is right. Showtime Mode is similar to Crash Mode, just with some new elements to make it more interesting. They've revamped the old damage system to make it better and more versatile for the players. It's based on what shape your car is in after a crash takes place. Instead of just one basic crash, there are two. If the car doesn't lose any of its wheels, and doesn't cause damage to the the chassis, the player may continue on with the race. This new crash feature is called a "driveway." If the car loses any wheels, ends up outside of the race map's boundaries, or sustains to much engine damage from the impact, the game will consider your car to be "wrecked," and you will have to be reset in order to keep playing.
The new and improved damage system for Burnout Paradise is just one of the many features included in this game. There are new race modes and makes and models of cars. Out of all of the cool cars included in Burnout Paradise, only some are based on real makes and models. Others are a fictional idea to make your racing experience like no other. Burnout paradise is hopefully just another exciting step to a new Burnout, car racing experience.
