Madden 2009 was released on August 12, 2008 and is the 20th annual installment of a Madden NFL video game. The cover features Brett Favre as Green Bay Packer, which is somewhat ironic considering he came out of retirement and is now playing for the New York Jets. The 2009 version is said to have many new features and is looking to really bring the gaming experience to a whole new level.
Madden 09 was released for the Nintendo DS, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, Wii, Xbox, and the Xbox 360 consoles. The game is the only Xbox game released in 2008 and is said to be last game ever released for the system. Some of the new features for the '09 game include new booth commentators, an enhanced play calling system, new cameras that help you see more of the action, and improved sidelines. The game also allows you to upload video highlights online and has improved upon its online leagues. The graphics for the 09 game have also been vastly improved, and there are some features that are exclusive for only the Wii, DS, and the PSP.
With each new release the Madden game seems to get better and better and this year is no different. The graphics are getting so good that it's almost like you watching a real game. Many of the other added features also make it a great game and it is no wonder that it is one of the most popular video games on the market today.
