Madden 2009 Video Game

Madden NFL 2009 is the twentieth installment of the Madden NFL video game franchise. As of September 17, 2008, over four million copies have been sold world-wide.

In this iteration of the game Cris Collinsworth and Tom Hammond take over as the new booth commentators. There are new line-up banners, a new coin toss function and new pre-game introductions, plus new camera angles. The game includes old favorites such as instant replays, stats and accessibility hints with more flexibility on play calling and improved sidelines.

Video highlights are included once again, but with more activity from coaches and players on the sidelines. The playbook has been renovated and there are enhanced weather animations. Three playbooks are now available ranging in difficulty. A new player function has also been included called "Call Your Shots,” and creates plays on the fly. A player can now perform a celebration after a touchdown or sack.

The all-new EA SPORTS Rookie Mode permits anyone in the family to dominate the game using simplified play calling controls and an easy to use passing system.

Madden NFL 2009 has been voted the best, or one of the best, sport game videos around and is an exciting edition to this years old franchise.
