In this latest installment of the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 5 lives up to the path of its predecessors. It will explore what happened in Chris Redfield's life in the ten years since the video game environment in the first game. It will examine what happened with the STARS agency members in that time-line as well. Now he is a member of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, and sent to the fictional country of Kijuju in Africa. This could very well be where the virus originated. There he will meet with Shiva Alomar, a member of the West African Branch of the BSAA.

In Africa, they will find that the virus has surfaced again, turning both people and animals into mindless crazed creatures. Only this time, the creatures do have some intelligence. This, combined with their speed and ability to use melee weapons, makes them just as formidable opponents alone as in groups. In this game the heroes will also have new weapons, and hopefully it will be enough to stop this threat yet again.

With stunning graphics, new and unique game play, the video game Resident Evil 5 will surely be a hit for both hard core Resident Evil fans and a new generation of horror genre gamers. It will be available on Xbox360, Playstation 3 and PSP. So far, the game has had mixed reviews. Some people felt the original trailer depicted scenes of racism, while other critics dislike the fact that players cannot shoot and walk at the same time.
