Left 4 Dead

On November 13, 2008, Left 4 Dead was released for the Xbox 360 and PC. Left 4 Dead is a game that is rated M for mature due to its violence and horror theme. It is a first-person shooter game where the player is one of the last people on earth after everyone else has been turned into zombies. First-person shooter means you see the game as if you were in the game playing as the character. Left 4 Dead was created by Valve Corporation and Certain Affinity.

Single player, four versus four multiplayer and four player cooperative multiplayer are the three game modes in Left 4 Dead. Left 4 Dead takes place in different cities. In order to know what city you are in, you can look at license plates, signs and other objects that may have state names on them.

In Left 4 Dead's campaign mode, you can cycle through four survivors and fight off the infected humans, and five special infected variations as well. You must go from level to level and take down the infected humans. You start out with a M1911 Pistol with unlimited ammo and an Uzi sub machine gun. Once you make some progress, you will get more powerful weapons including, a 90 semi-automatic shotgun, a Ruger Mini-4 hunting rifle, grenades, and much more. You can only carry one large gun and two handguns with you at a time.

In 2008, Left 4 Dead received 28 awards from 8 different gaming companies. Some of the awards were Best Shooter, Game of the Year, Best Online Game of the Year, Best PC Game of the Year, Raddest Game of 2008 and Best Cooperative Multiplayer Game.
