Madden 2009

On August 12th, 2008 EA Sports released its highly anticipated Madden NFL 2009 to North American audiences. Madden 09 is a massivley popular video game that simulates and recreates the play of the National Football League. The game is available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, Xbox, or Nintendo DS gaming consoles. Madden 09 is rated “E” which stands for 'everyone' and means the game is appropriate for gamers of all ages.

Madden 09 is configured for 2-player gameplay on the PlayStation 2, but you can play with up to 4 players at a time on the other consoles. Gamers playing Madden 09 on the Xbox or Xbox 360, as well as the Wii and PlayStation 3, can also play the game online with people from around the globe. Most retail outlets also released a Spanish version of Madden 09 on September 17th, 2008, which signals the game's widespread appeal.

With Madden 09 gamers can play as their favorite NFL teams, and can choose rosters from the 2009 NFL season all the way back to the inception of the league. With this new feature of playing any team in any era, gamers can match up the Patriots of the last decade with the Steeler dynasty of the 1970's.

There are two different covers for Madden 09, both of which contain an image of quarterback Brett Favre. One cover shows Favre in his classic Green Bay Packers jersey, while newly released versions show Favre in a New York Jets jersey. The second cover was released following Favre's arrival to the Jets as a free agent, and any game with this cover will allow players to use the legendary quarterback on either team. For Nintendo Wii players, the game is called Madden 09 All-Play, but like most Wii games, gamers can use special interactive controls which make them feel as if they are apart of the game.
