Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario games have been around for many years, and one of the most popular Super Mario games is Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo released Super Mario Galaxy for the interactive Wii gaming system in November of 2007. Super Mario Galaxy is rated “E” which means that it is safe for all ages to play. The genre for this game is called "platform," which means that it is a game that includes the character jumping from obstacle to obstacle or platform to platform. It has two modes: single player and multiplayer. A Wii Remote and Nunchuk are required for the game.

The game takes place in outer space on different planets and asteroids. It all started when Mario and the whole town were in Mushroom Kingdom at a comet festival to celebrate an asteroid that was passing over their heads. Bowser and his evil minions came by air and sabotaged Mushroom Kingdom and kidnapped Princess Peach while Mario lay unconscious. It is up to Mario and his new friend, Rosalina, to rescue Princess Peach and defeat Bowser once and for all. A hint for the game is when you collect 120 power stars, you can play as Luigi, who is Mario’s brother and always fights alongside him.

Super Galaxy Mario has won several "Game of the Year" awards and has received very good reviews on the whole. This is the third Mario platforming game that Nintendo has released, the other two being Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. This is a great game that the whole family can enjoy together.
