Grand Theft Auto: The Chinatown Wars for DS

Grand Theft Auto: The Chinatown Wars was recently released on March 17th, 2009. It was published by Rockstar Games and developed by Rockstar Leeds. It falls into the category of modern action/adventure and has an ESRB of "M" for mature. The rating comes from the game’s strong language, strong sexual content, violence, and drug reference. It is a video game created for Nintendo DS and it is the thirteenth in the series.

The game has a few changes for the Grand Theft Auto series. The most noticeable is the view of the game from an aerial perspective downward versus the ground view of previous versions. Another for the Grand Theft Autos is the characters and scenery look like they are produced with the same design as a comic book. There is a shading and black outline in the graphics to give the comic effect.

This version is based in Liberty City, the same as in Grand Theft Auto IV. The main character is Huang Lee, who needs to deliver his dad's sword to his uncle. His uncle is Wu "Kenny" Lee. The other 4 primary characters are Chan Jaoming, Wade Heston, Hsin Jaoming and Rudy D'Avanzo.

Huang Lee is new to Liberty City. His arrival by plane is short lived with his escorts being killed and Huang left for dead. The sword that his triad dad won in a poker game is now stolen. The adventure really begins when he tells his uncle why he was offering up the sword as the family heirloom.
