Super Smash Brothers Brawl

Super Smash Brothers Brawl is the third installment in the popular Super Smash Brothers series. The game was released in the United States on March 9th, 2008. The Smash Brothers series is hosted on the Nintendo platform, and has since it's inception in 2001 with Super Smash Brothers for the Nintendo 64 gaming system. The second game in the series was Super Smash Brothers Melee which was released on the Nintendo GameCube.

Since the beginning, the Super Smash Brothers series has been immensely popular, with an innovative arcade style fighting environment that also allowed players to play most of their favorite Nintendo gaming characters. Over the course of the series the number of characters has increased from game to game, with Super Smash Brothers Brawl containing an incredible 37 characters. Some of the most notable names on the list are Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Link (from Zelda), Yoshi, Fox (from Star Fox), Donkey Kong, Snake (from Metal Gear Solid), Sonic (from Sonic the Hedgehog), and the list goes on.

What makes the game so incredibly popular though is that it is easy to pick up and play, and it is fun! Newcomers and pros alike can compete against each other or against computer opponents. In addition the game has a single player "story" mode that allows players to learn about the different characters and hone their skills with that particular character.

In addition the game has an extremely high level of customization. Computer opponents can be of differing difficulties ranging from level one (easy) to level nine (hard). Players can also influence the drop rate of items that drop within each battleground and can prevent certain items from dropping at all. Finally, the game contains numerous stages that players can battle on and each stage has its own uniqueness and special features that can affect combat.
