Portal is a videogame for the PC. This game is considered a first person shooter game, except you create blue and orange portals with your gun rather than bullets. These portals are used to solve puzzles, rather than to kill enemies directly. There are many puzzles throughout the game for gamers to solve. Even though the game is only a few hours long, it has been very successful because of the witty plot and mind bending puzzles. There are expansion packs available for this game that can be downloaded from the Internet.

Your character's name is Chell. The game consists of leading her through Aperture Labs, where she is being held as a test subject. There are test chambers that your character will have to get through using the portal gun in order to continue to the next step. All the while, a computerized interface named GLaDOS will watch your progress and instruct you in your tests. As you progress through the game, the puzzles required to get through the test chambers become harder, and you discover that all may not be as it seems in the laboratory. GLaDOS' commentary is often touted as one of the best scripts ever written for a videogame character.

Without giving away the whole storyline of the game, this is a great strategy game that a player can play for a long time and shouldn't pass up. Between the great story, the physics engine, the soundtrack, and the special effects, a player will have fun for hours on end with Portal for the PC.
