When Madden 09 came out this year, it was the 20th anniversary of the game that was first released in 1989. Released by EA Sports, this year they have put together a collector’s edition that includes a 1993 version of the game for Sega Genesis and also a copy of the Head Coach 2009 version.

Some features include the new play calling screen, so instead of pausing the game to make decisions, the screen will allow you to check your stats, sub in your players or even select from instant replays. The game also comes with a new Backtrack feature, so after you missed a tackle or ran a broken play, you will be able to run the play again and analyze what exactly went wrong on both the offense or the defensive side of the ball.

However, the first thing you will see on the new game is something called Madden IQ. It’s a virtual trainer that simulates for you 12 mini games for both offense and defense. This helps the game process the information from the mini games and it will automatically adjust the settings of play according to how good or bad you did.
