Crysis is a first person shooter game that has recently become popular. It is is planned to be the first of a trilogy of games to fall under the same name. After its release in 2007, it was, at first, reportedly a flop. However, now the game has reportedly sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.
The game is based in the future. In it, an alien spaceship has been uncovered under the earth near the East Philippines. The player plays as Jake Dunn, call name Nomad. He is a Delta force operator manned with various futuristic weapons and equipment. The player will fight both North Korean and alien foes on his/her journey. There is also the a multi-player match in Crysis. It supports up to 32 players, with games such as Death Match and Power Struggle. So if you don't want to play alone, you don't have to.
To play the gam,e you must have a computer that can handle the game and all its glory. First, the game is not built Mac-ready, so you must have a Windows PC. Among other things the minimum requirements are an Athlon 64/3000+/Intel 2.8 Ghz, Nvidia 6600/X800GTO (SM 2.0) graphics card, 768Mb/1Gb of RAM on Windows Vista, 6 GB HDD, 256k+ internet speed, a DVD optical drive, and DX9.0c if you operate on Windows XP. Even then, your system may lag noticeably as these are only the minimum requirements.
Reviews for the game seem to be mostly good. Even thought it took a while to take off with gamers, it is apparent by the sales figures that it has become a slight hit. Try for yourself and see how you like it. Just make sure your PC can handle it.
