Super Mario Galaxy

In the Nintendo Wii game Super Mario Galaxy, Mario has been invited to the Centennial Star Festival by Princess Peach to celebrate a comet that will be passing overhead. But Mario isn't the only one who has plans for visiting the Princess. Shortly after he arrives in the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser appears and summons a gigantic UFO that then abducts the Princess and her castle. It lifts her castle right off the ground and begins taking it into outer space.

Mario tries to stop the theft, but he isn't successful. He is then thrown across the galaxy, only to wake up on a strange little planet where he meets a mysterious woman by the name of Rosalina. According to Rosalina, Bowser has stolen her observatory's Power Stars, and without them, she and her observatory are going nowhere. It is then that Mario's mission becomes clear: he must help Rosalina collect and get back all her observatory's Power Stars so that she can help him reach Princess Peach, who is being held in the center of the universe.

There are nine power ups in the game that will give Mario new abilities. Special mushrooms can give Mario a bee, ghost, or spring suit. The bee suit will allow Mario to hover in the air, walk on clouds, and climb special walls. The ghost suit allows Mario to float through the air, become transparent, and move through obstacles. The spring suit gives Mario the ability to jump very high. Mario is controlled using the Wiimote and the Nunchuk attachment.
