According to the programmers, the story line of this incarnation of the Final Fantasy franchise is to "tie up loose ends." If you have not played any of the previous versions, you should wait to play this one.
The game takes place seven years before the very first Final Fantasy. The Shinra Company is present and increasing its influence. Many of the original characters are also there. And because of the other games, we all know what happens to Zak in the end. The game centers on the disappearance of an operative known as "Genesis". The main players, known simply as "SOLDIER", are highly trained combat troops. Zak is part of this group. He is a SOLDIER 2nd Class who dreams of joining the elite SOLDIER 1st Class.
PSP has introduced something called the D.M.W (Digital Mind Wave) system, for Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. It brings the full potential of the PSP hardware to life. As you investigate the mass desertion of the SOLDIER operatives, you become immersed in the 16:9 widescreen graphics. You will really be amazed.
Considered one of the best RPGs released in years, Crisis Core presents a story line that is both emotional and involved. Your battles are not always where you would expect them, so be careful and stay alert. As with previous incarnations of the game, action points are critical. You are introduced to new attacks and equipment not found in other versions. There are also some new characters for you to discover.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, is a surprising and involved game, even though you know what is going to happen in the end.
